Short-Term to Medium Term
- The USD/CAD is in a range roughly between 0.9750 and 0.9815. The 0.9750 area is near 38.2% retracement.
- If the market closes below the 200SMA seen in the 1H chart, it would be breaking out of this ranging action, which some may describe as a channel, or even a triple top.
- At the momentum, there is no bearish bias just yet, as the RSI remains above 40. However, a break below the range with the RSI breaking below 40 and attacking 30 would suggest topping.
- The Daily chart shows the makret after 5-swings up, although this is not an impulse wave because the 4th wave coming down overlapped the 1st wave up.
- If the market is topping off, and closes below 0.9750, there is a chance for a slide towards the 0.9650 pivot, which is just above the 50% retracement level.
- However, if the market exits this range on the upside, we have a couple of targets first at 0.9920, then at the 0.9970 to parity (1.0) area.
