Processing



Where sheet materials of inferior quality frequently crumble and create excessive dust when cut or drilled,

Because of the high quality packing, FOREX°classic is still available without surface protection on the individual sheets. But PE surface protection film on one or two sides, of course, is also readily available. Having a standard range this large permanently on stock, delivery times are as short as they can possibly be. The FOREX°classic range is in most countries available through selected distributors and, therefore, it's easy and fast to obtain.

FOREX°classic sheets can be fabricated into stiff decorative composite sheets which are ideally suited for furniture-making and interior works. After grinding both surfaces to good flatness, a 2-component PU adhesive can be used to bond sheet metal or synthetic resin sheets to the core of FOREX°classic.

In boat-building, components and substructures made of FOREX°classic can be laminated with the hand-lay-up method, using unsaturated polyester resin and glass fibre mats.

History



In the 1970's, Airex AG pioneered extrusion foaming of lightweight polymer sheets. The company invented FOREX° which has now become almost a generic term for lightweight foamed plastic sheets.
