Short-Term to Medium-Term
- The EUR/USD broke above a previous high at 1.4345 and is now attacking the 4H 200-period simple moving average.
- The RSI is above 70, reflecting a bullish momentum breakout. In the near-term, we might get a consolidation as we cross 1.44.
- This rally has a bullish impulse wave structure. Notice the lead-up to the explosive surge. After this surge slows down, we can anticipate yet another rally attempt.
- The daily chart shows the market in a sharp reversal after cracking the 1.40 support.
- A strong correction to the decline since the beginning of May can be able to retrace 61.8%, near 1.46.
- This bullish scenario is in trouble if the market breaks below 1.42. Preferably the market respects the 1.4345 pivot, but if a completed impulse wave is formed, we can have a strong correction before further rally attempt towards 1.46. In fact, the 4H chart and the Daily chart shows that we could be in a terminal wave of a 5-wave rally, but again, because it is an impulse wave, we can expect another one to follow if we see a 3-wave correction decline fail to break below 1.42.
