EURO-DOLLAR: The euro remains firm versus the dollar and well bid on the crosses. US fiscal cliff uncertainty is weighing on the greenback, making the often beleaguered eurozone currency somewhat of a safe-haven in contrast. Nevertheless, the euro will need to vault the eight-and-a-half month high of $1.3308, posted Dec. 19, for upward momentum to mount, traders say. Stop seen on a break over $1.3320. On the downside, modest bids seen at $1.3240 and at overnight lows near $1.3220.
